Hahahaha, legitimately one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. I’m going to sum it up in a gif and 2 videos.
For physics, cars, and human emotion:
For CGI:
and for scenes that just become comically bad as they go along (good for Blues Brothers, bad for F8):
I expected an enjoyable mess, it was just a mess.

Was there SPOON engines?

No, just FCA products falling from the sky.

As something that might’ve been an A-Team movie, it was okay. I kept thinking though, weren’t these guys just a bunch of street racers not that long ago? I started to miss the first 3 F&F movies ...

Tokyo Drift 2 or gtfo.
I’m trying to think of any other non straight to DVD movie sagas that have gotten to this many, while still being more or less part of a large arc and not just random adventures in the same world

They gave all the emotional scenes to an actor who is incapable of showing any emotion.

Consistent with the downward spiral that is FCA

Tokyo drift 2 would be great as long as this obnoxious douchebag of a hilbilly bumblefuck isn’t in it

Way back when the first one made it to cable, I couldn’t even get through that one. Haven’t watched one since.

Somebody has never seen Tommy Wiseau’s ‘The Room”

First one is great by comparison.

Wow, that must have been one hellacious shit-show.

I didn’t say it was THE worst movie, but it’s among them. ( Epic Movie is still the worst thing I’ve ever seen by a long shot)

Grandma’s Boy is also awful. American Pie 2 was bad, American Wedding even worse. Remake of Red Riding Hood, The Purge, that movie where children think they’re in a space academy, but they find out their simulation was fake and they killed millions of aliens... I think Harrison Ford was the “bad” guy?

Their only real saving grace is that they give the CinemaSins guys material to work with.

I’m with you. I can’t stand the FF movies and I like cars.

Enders Game? I liked the books but never saw the movie because it looked bad (and Orson Scott Card turned out to be a homophobic asshole).

Agreed, and also keep The Rock out. Every time I read an article proclaiming him as a modern day action hero akin to Sigourney Weaver, Arnold, Bruce Willis, etc. I vomit a little.

My girlfriend utterly hated Tokyo Drift. She spent the whole movie hoping the main character would die and get replaced by Han.
..oops.

I feel bad dissing Dwayne because by all accounts he’s pretty much the nicest guy in the world, and I kinda like the way he’s worked to put his WWE persona behind him and be a straight up actor. Also (and I realize this is a low bar to clear) I will say he’s the best actor to come out of pro wrestling since Andre the Giant. But he’s certainly no Bruce, and it seems like lately he’s been more a characature of himself than anything.
Also either he’s juicing or I’m tripping.

He definitely seems like a nice guy. I can’t even pinpoint what it is exactly, but I just can’t stand him as an actor...
And yeah, he’s had dramatic physique changes in short periods of time, going back and forth between blubbery, normalish and massive vascular man/beast. There could be some prohibited substances involved...

I actually liked the Enders Game movie.

MST3K level bad has a redeeming quality. Because MST3K

I never said anything about watching the MST3K version of it.

As an engineer, I laughed soooooooooo hard at so many of those scenes. It was still fun, but man was it funny bad.

I really don’t get all of the hate comments around here. Would I like the movie to be more in the style of the first one? Yea, sure. But where they’re at now is dumb fun with a lot of cars thrown in. I’ll happily spend $12 for entertainment.
But I guess its probably awkward to get a seat in a theater with a high horse.

It was a mess, not only was the action silly/stupid but the plot and tone were so inconsistent that it made it hard to watch. The first half was legitimately bad, the second half was tolerable.

You would have enjoyed your 2 hours if you didn’t look for a “plot” and laughed along with the silly/stupid action scenes.

I did laugh, a lot. But the “emotional” murder of a character didn’t have much impact when stupid shit is happening 15 seconds beforehand.

Yeah, I was disappointed. I really wanted to like it buuuuut, I just can’t do it.
